The TIC Interest Group at Florida State is a university-wide collective of faculty interested in the intersections of technology, innovation, and culture in the arenas of research, creative activities, teaching, and scholarly engagement.
"Technology, Innovation, Culture" is meant to embrace all intersections of technology and people.
Topics and modes of study are multitudinous, and include but are not limited to information policy, online learning, natural language processing, smart cities, disaster planning, and design thinking.

Calendar of Upcoming Meetings
TIC is designed to foster interpersonal collaborations and intellectual engagement that can take many forms, and is organized into three overlapping sub-sections. Faculty may choose to participate in all three sub-sections to varying degrees, or only one or two. TIC offers a framework and a structure in which faculty can engage in activities to the extent, in the direction, they choose to invest and direct their energies and efforts.
Research and Creative Activities
Faculty choose to focus on ideas and goals including seeking research funding, building collaborative research teams, discussing research methods, crafting research agendas, and more.
Curriculum and Teaching
Faculty choose to focus on: curricular design at the level of the module, course, certificate, minor, major, or program; pedagogical issues; technology in instruction, including applications and ethical implications.
Scholarly Engagement
TIC offers a place for FSU faculty to share the fruits of their research and creative activities with one another to generate novel ideas, celebrate our scholarly and creative accomplishments, and foster our shared intellectual joy.
